Class Action for defective Norton Products

On December 1, 2017, Kugler Kandestin filed an Application for authorization to institute a class action on behalf of Québec consumers who, between July 24, 2010 and June 27, 2016, purchased and used under license from Symantec, the following products: Norton™AntiVirus, Norton™Internet Security, Norton™Security, Norton™Security with Backup, Norton 360™, or Norton™One (the “Norton Products”).

The application alleges that between July 24, 2010 and June 27, 2016, the Norton Products were defective and had design defects rendering them unfit for the use for which they were intended, and that Symantec used misleading advertising regarding these products.

The application claims the reimbursement of the purchase price of these products and licenses, as well as punitive damages.
