On September 25, 2002, the Honourable Mr. Justice Pierre Viau of the Quebec Superior Court has authorized the institution of a Class Action against Advantage Link Inc. (formerly Jitec Inc.), its President Benoît Laliberté and three brokerage firms: CIBC World Markets Inc., Leduc & Associates Securities (Canada) Ltd. and Canaccord Capital Corporation on behalf of all natural persons who, between July 26 and November 9, 2000 were shareholders of Jitec Inc., either directly or indirectly, and who sustained a loss as a result of Defendant’s faulty actions and/or omissions. (see the Judgment – Acrobat format 1.4MB). The last pages of the Judgment is the English version of the Notice of the Members.
The Honourable Justice Michel Delorme, j.s.c., has been appointed to manage and hear the case. The Class Action has been instituted on December 23, 2002 and the most recent version can be consulted (see Requête Introductive d’Instance Acrobat format, 1.1MB).
The class action is at the stage of the discoveries after Plea.
