Application for Authorization to Institute a Class Action Filed Against the CIUSSS Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and Dr. Ioan Florin Mija (regarding pathology or cytology tests)
Kugler Kandestin and Tremblay Bois Attorneys have jointly filed an Application for Authorization to Institute a Class Action against the CIUSSS Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and Dr. Ioan Florin Mija on behalf of all Québec patients who have been notified that the results of their pathology and/or cytology tests completed between October 1, 2021 and May 18, 2023 are subject to a preventive review and/or are tainted by errors and/or irregularities in the analysis of their specimens, as well as the estates of patients who have died since June 2, 2023.
The application alleges that the CIUSSS Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and pathologist Dr. Florin Mija are liable for the damages suffered by class members.

- Received the June 2, 2023 letter from the CIUSSS Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean notifying you that the pathology and cytology results of your samples will be reviewed; or
- Have otherwise been informed that the pathology and cytology results of your specimens between October 2021 and May 2023 have been or will be reviewed by the CIUSSS Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean
