As indicated in previous updates (see below), the Superior Court has authorized the class action against L’Unique. The Plaintiff therefore filed its Originating Application of a Class Action Lawsuit against L’Unique. Click here to review a copy.

The Court of Appeal of Quebec refuses to grant leave to appeal the judgment authorizing Kugler Kandestin to file a class action against L’Unique Assurances Générales Inc. for failing to indemnify dental clinics for their business interruption losses arising from COVID-19.
Kugler Kandestin is pleased to announce that the Court of Appeal of Quebec has refused to grant leave to appeal the judgment authorizing Kugler Kandestin to file a class action against L’Unique Assurances Générales Inc. on behalf of all businesses insured by L’Unique and engaged in the practice of dentistry or a subspeciality of dentistry in the province of Quebec who were forced to reduce or interrupt their businesses as a result of COVID-19.
The class action is moving forward. Notices to class members informing them of the authorization of the class action will be published shortly and made available on the class action page as soon as they are published.
The Originating Application of a Class Action Lawsuit will also be filed shortly and made available on the class action page following its filing.
