On January 10, 2018, Kugler Kandestin filed an Application for authorization to institute a class action against Expedia, Inc. and other affiliated entities on behalf of Quebec consumers who reserved a hotel room via Expedia.ca, Hotels.com or Travelocity.ca and who were required to pay, in order to secure their reservation, an additional amount above the total price displayed at the time of the reservation (notably for fees commonly referred to as “hotel fees”, “establishment fees” or “resort fees”), since January 10, 2015.
